Boating Safety Advocacy
The Mission
Alber Consulting is dedicated to making our waters safer and has worked with the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) for over a decade to further boating safety education and enforcement. We have delivered training that ranged from basic seamanship, boat handling, and risk mitigation to advanced tactical marine law enforcement operations. Paul Alber developed and manages NASBLA's GPS Forensics Training Program. The course is grant-funded by the US Coast Guard and has been delivered to local, state, and federal investigators nationwide. Paul also serves as a subject matter expert in NASBLA's Boat Incident Investigation Course and has assisted in the planning and execution of staged boat collisions to further the course's project-based learning. Finally, Paul is a member of the National Boating Standards Panel (BSP), where he works to develop and implement American national standards in boating education.
